Academics, adventurers, sailors and strategists, the Corporate VMG crew live the racing spirit both on and off the water. For us, sailing and racing is not simply entertainment or a change of pace – it is both playground and proving ground.

Corporate VMG Founder Nina Burokas has a passion for competitive innovation and the sport of sailing. She has a proven track record as a change agent on a scale from Inc. 500 to Fortune 50, and brings a perpetual beta dynamic to Corporate VMG programming.

With experience in virtually every phase of the business and brand lifecycle, she also brings a broad range of expertise and an understanding for the points of pain and potential upside in an organization.

Nina has served as brand champion and cultural advisor on a number of change initiatives and is adept at driving awareness and adoption of behaviors that deliver on a core business/brand promise. A Reach-certified personal brand strategist, she is also attuned to the importance of employee engagement and finding personal meaning within the organizational context.

When she’s not at the CVMG helm (or honing her foredeck or trimming skills), Nina consults on a range of brand and concept development, brand engagement and communications strategy initiatives.

Nina is actively engaged in the business and sailing communities, serving as President of the Kellogg Orange County Alumni Club, liaison to the OCMBA network, Communications Captain for the Long Beach/Los Angeles Women’s Sailing Association and Communications Director for the Linda Elias Memorial Women’s One Design (LEMWOD) Challenge regatta.

An avid amateur athlete, Nina has been using sports as a means of cultivating her own strategic agility, mental endurance and physical fitness for over 20 years.
